miva Switzerland is a Christian charity founded in 1932 to help disadvantaged people in the South. With professional fund-raising and financing activities, miva provides suitable transport and communication resources for self-help projects. Eligible local partners are involved at the grass roots level in development, human rights, health education, social and pastoral projects.

miva supports projects, primarily in remote rural areas, where development is impeded by the lack of transport and communications facilities. By providing solutions that are suitable for local needs and conditions, miva Switzerland helps people, goods and ideas to overcome great distances and enables local workers to quickly reach the areas where urgent support is needed.
